Jim Crews has long been one of the great teachers of the game of basketball. He got his start as an assistant under legendary Bob Knight at Indiana. He gained his reputation at Evansville University during the 80s & 90s. He built the Aces into one of the best mid-major programs in that era. After spending seven years at Army, he then joined up as an assistant with Rick Majerus at St. Louis. After coach Majerus passed, Crews took over the program and has led them to the National Tournament in each of the past two years.

CoachHemi.com contributor Aaron Schuck listened to coach Crews while at the Nike Clinic in Tunica, Miss., this year. Here are the notes that he brought home.
