This year’s Fall Workout featured more than a half dozen nationally ranked players, at least one potential McDonald’s All-American and dozens of prospects that are being recruited by high major programs. However, the camp also featured a number of up and coming prospects that should stay on the radar of evaluators and coaches for years to come. Here are a few of the 2018 prospects that made a lasting impression at the October camp.

2018
Gabby Crawford – Munford HS (TN) COMMITTED: ALABAMA
The left-handed forward made a great first impression at the camp. Her mobility and activity translates into productivity. She showed range on her jumper in drills as well as in game play. Standing at 6-foot-2, look for her to be a standout while playing with coach Eric Daniels on the summer travel circuit.
Kiera Downey – Ravenwood (TN)
We liked the activity that Downey brought the floor at the camp. A good athlete and the type of player who is not afraid to stick her nose into a crowd and come away with the ball. She brings productivity on the defensive end while also having plenty of upside on the offensive side of the ball.
GiGi Lewis – MHEA Homeschool (MS)
Lewis is a left-handed point guard who does a good job of involving her teammates in the offense. She showed poise and skill at the camp in October. Look for her game to expand as she matures physically.

Jamirah Shutes – Haywood HS (TN)
Shutes is an aggressive guard with the ball in her hands. She pressed the issue from the point position and made positive things happen all weekend long. In a game that is dominated by point guard play, Shutes is a prospect to track in future evaluations.
Kennedy Suttle – Holy Innocents (GA) COMMITTED: PENN
Suttle is a steady performer both in camp settings and during competitive game play. She is versatile in that she is a willing defender and rebounder, but has perimeter skill that continues to improve. She caught our eye with her clean release behind the arc at this camp.
Grace Van Rij – Gatlinburg Pittman (TN) COMMITTED: FURMAN
Van Rij is the type of player who can anchor a team on both ends of the floor. Her willingness to play physical allows her to snatch rebounds and score inside the paint. She has the hands and footwork as well to play at the elbow and help facilitate the action away from the basket.
